Stonehouse Drug Raid


Drugs worth £375,000 have been uncovered in a house near Larkhall.

Acting on a tip-off, police found 751 cannabis plants during a raid on a house on Strathaven Road, in Stonehouse.

Following the swoop, at 9.30am on Wednesday6th January, a 60-year-old man was arrested and is in police custody in connection with alleged drugs offences.

Detective Inspector Kevin Jamieson said: “Information from members of the public is absolutely vital to our efforts to address drugs crime and keep people safe across the Lanarkshire area. We have teams of dedicated officers working in our communities every day, executing warrants and targeting drug dealers and this seizure reinforces our commitment to disrupting those criminals who engage in the supply of controlled drugs.
