Hamilton Girl Wins Miss Earth Scotland
A Hamilton girl has been crowned Miss Earth Scotland 2015.
Amy Meisak (22) from Little Earnock will now head to Austria in November to compete in the Miss Earth final.
The pageant looks for beauties who also have a commitment to the environment.
Amy chose to concentrate on the freedom of animals, in particular whales in captivity.
Amy came third in Miss Earth Scotland last year.
She said: “Because it was my first pageant, I really had my heart set on it. I told myself ‘I’m going to go back and win that.’
“When Miss Earth Scotland went to the Philippines for the final, I watched it online. I watched how they walked and talked and marketed themselves.”
To gain experience, Amy entered World Supermodel and won the UK heat of that. She attended the final in Fiji last November. Amy also won Face of the Globe Scotland and will go to the world final in Disneyland Paris next April. She also went on to a personal training plan with her sponsor New Age Fitness based in Hamilton.
Amy, who is in training with Clyde One, hopes her Miss Earth title will help in her ambitions to be a radio and tv presenter.
