John Hannah Bids Farewell To EK Home
Scots star John Hannah has taken to social media to bid a poignant farewell to his childhood home.
The Four Weddings star posted a selfie outside the East Kilbride council house he grew up in and talked about his “strange and complex emotions” leaving the property for the last time.
The 53-year-old, who now lives in London, lost his father last year and has recently spoken about his mother Susan’s battle with dementia.
She now lives in a care home. John, who also starred in Sliding Doors with Gwyneth Paltrow, grew up in the house on Chalmers Drive with his sisters Joan and Elizabeth.
Alongside the selfie, the actor posted two black and white photographs where he is being cradled by his mum and dad.
He wrote: “So that’s goodbye Chalmers Drive. I was born in that house!!
“Strange and complex emotions as I leave my ‘home’.”
