EE Widens Coverage And Boasts 7.7 Million 4G Customers
EE has revealed that it now has 7.7 million customers on its 4G network.
This growth included the addition of 1.7 million customers in the last two months of 2014, and the continued expansion of its 4G network to 510 towns and cities and over 4,000 villages.
EE claimed that this brings its coverage to 80 percent of the population, which should rise to 98 percent by the end of 2015.
EE said that it is upping its focus on rural village coverage. The company added 1,000 small towns and villages over the end of 2014, taking the total to 3,894.
Elvanfoot, a village of 52 residents in South Lanarkshire, is the smallest community now benefitting from 4G.
