06/03/15

Lanarkshire’s most entrepreneurial organisations from the private, public and voluntary sectors were honoured at the 22nd Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards.

Almost 500 guests gathered at Motherwell Concert Hall to join in the celebrations as the local winners were announced after being crowned the best in their categories by a panel of judges.

St Aidan’s High School Jazz Band opened the ceremony performing three songs to the delighted guests. Fred MacAulay compered, with “Only an Excuse” star Jonathan Watson completing the after dinner speech.

Guests were treated to a selection of desserts, which were designed and made by college students from South Lanarkshire College and New College Lanarkshire helping to make the 2015 awards the biggest and most successful of all time.

North and South Lanarkshire Council hosted the Awards alongside main sponsor Lanarkshire Enterprise Services Ltd with joint media sponsors Johnston Press.

Councillor Jim McCabe from North Lanarkshire Council opened the evening and said: “The Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards were a massive success and highlights the fantastic businesses and individuals within our great community.
